Independence Day

The 4th of July was indeed a festive celebration
I decided at 9 o'clock the night before that I was going to sew a skirt to wear the next day. . .
I am NOT crazy- I promise
I stitched all that I could, leaving only the elastic to be placed Monday morning before the parade.
Still not crazy. .
I rolled into bed at about 1 am
and then slept through my alarm the next morning
I did what I could with my dirty hair and ran to Wal-Mart to find some 2 inch elastic
They don't carry 2 inch elastic of course.
So with a few minor adjustments I finished the skirt and threw together my Red, White, and Blue get-up
We went to the Hooper parade and then to eat Navajo Tacos in Plain City
They were delicious
We watched the firework show in Hooper and ate the cake pops I made!
They are officially reserved only for suuper special occasions
only because they are a 2-day project

Sweet Success

I am so excited!
I just sold my second rosette shirt on Etsy!!
I have been making these as birthday gifts lately and after
my sweet cousin Jordan GUSHED over hers
I decided to list one on Etsy.
I made this hot little item just in time for Independence Day
Let me know what you think. I should post some other styles in the next couple days.
A special thanks to Phoebe for modeling, and her owner Chandler, for finding her at DI
